Every Kid Deserves A Birthday Bash

In celebration of Spread Goodness Day, Connect Marquette decided that every kid deserves to have a birthday party, For the 3rd time, they have teamed up with the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum to gather donations and fill 100 bags of goodies with everything kids need for a real birthday bash.

Community members are invited to contribute to the birthday fun, coming through in a big way.  One hundred books, cake mix, tubs of frosting, candles, frisbees, birthday cards, toy cell phones, bubbles, flower-growing kits and so much more are donated to make each kids birthday the goodest birthday possible.

The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum hosts the bagging bash on Spread Goodness Day each year, where all of the donations are brought and stuffed by volunteers at their own bash filled with pizza and epic goodness.

The bursting bags are brought to the Salvation Army in Marquette, MI, who help distribute them to 100 low-income families each year for their kids to have a very special birthday.  This initiative does so much more than give people presents and cake. It gives parents the ability to provide birthday bashes for their children that they otherwise would not be able to afford. Thank you Connect Marquette, for providing your community with a gift that keeps on giving.
