HOW TO SUBMIT FOR YOUR STATE

  1. Click the link below for your state. It will bring you directly to your Governor’s website with simple instructions to request Spread Goodness Day be proclaimed a holiday there!

  2. Copy/Use the verbiage below to fulfill the required format of submissions. Each state has a slightly different way to submit. It is usually a simple email or website form submission.

  3. If they request an address to send a framed proclamation, give them yours! This holiday doesn’t work without everybody celebrating with us! By submitting in your state, you are helping us empower bright futures to schools, communities and beyond.

  4. Contact us, or check our website, if they request more information.

  5. That’s it!

    (Each state typically requests submissions to be at least one to three months in advance of the event date. So now is the time. They will inform us if our submissions are approved closer to the requested proclamation date.)

  2. Most cities vote and approve on the proclamation at one of their weekly/monthly meetings.
