Because you donated your old coat to someone very cold

Because you handed out flowers & gift bags in an eight-foot-tall T-rex getup carrying a picnic basket

Because you bought coffee for the person behind you in line

Because you passed out LEGO kits to kids at the childrens museum and library
Thank you
Because you got your friends to volunteer with you
Thank You
Because you donated to a police k9 unit fund and an animal shelter

Because you hid 10 boxes of sunshine earrings around for a playful “finders, keepers” gift

Because you invited people to shop local by announcing surprise gifts cards for random shoppers

Because you left a note in my lunch telling me how much you love me

Because you gave flowers and gift cards to your elementary school custodians, bus drivers and cafeteria workers

Because you purchased baked goods from local bakeries and delivered them to nonprofits

Because you made a hotline with kindergartners giving people pep talks

Because you gave low-income families supplies for their child’s birthday party

Because you went hiking with veterans and enjoyed this vast country’s land together

Because you hid cash gifts in jar candles like some sorta stealth retail ninja
Thank you
Because you donated your time and hard-earned money

Because you shared your stories

Because you made me cry in the best kinda way, but you couldn’t see my snot and puffy eyes through my mask and shades
