Six years of Spreading Goodness with Northern Michigan University

Written by: Jenna Williams, NMU Student

Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan has been a part of Spread Goodness Day since its beginning in 2018. It started small with asking students to spread small acts of kindness. Years later it has grown into a week long event with tons of activities for students to participate in. We have continued to support this event through the years because our students love it!

This year the date of Spread Goodness Day is over Spring Break, so to make sure we all can participate, we will be celebrating the week after. NMU has a number of events planned for the week from giving out plants, flowers, postcards, and stickers, to free movies for students, cookie decorating for veterans, giveaways, an open skate, and a Hippo Campus concert.

Special thank you to Rachel Harris, Director of the NMU Student Enrichment Center. In collaboration with various departments and student groups, She has been our Spread Goodness Day champion lighting the sparks of epic goodness Wildcats have spread every single year!
